BBOP15: Information about final BBOP meeting

23 October 2018

BBOP will hold it's final conference in Paris for up to 180 people on 27-29 November 2018. The event will provide high visibility for industry, financial institutions and governments and offer tremendous learning opportunities for delegates to examine the future direction of managing biodiversity related risk and opportunity around the world.

There will be a strong business focus and presence at the BBOP meeting. The timing and location of the conference is scheduled to take advantage of related meetings on natural capital and biodiversity taking place in Paris the same week.  More information on other events that week can be found here.

Tuesday 27th November is the key BBOP day 'Working for Biodiversity Net Gain: Taking stock and prospects for the future'.  A draft agenda can be downloaded here.

On Thursday 29th November we are holding a joint meeting with the EU Business and Biodiversity Platform and hosts CDC Biodiversité ('Business and Biodiversity: Roadmaps for Positive Impact'). A draft agenda can be downloaded here, fewer seats are available to BBOP delegates for this day as we are sharing the same venue with our two partner organizations.  Those wishing to attend on 29 November must register their interest here.

On Wednesday 28th November, delegates can choose between a number of options:

  • A half day field trip to the Montesson conservation banking site 30-40 minutes outside of Paris.
  • Attending the Natural Capital Coalition meeting. If you are not a member of the NCC, they now have a waiting list for the Collaboration Day meeting on 28 November, but the registration link is here and more information on NCC Collaboration Day can be found here.)
  • Informal working sessions and discussions on a number of themes organized by some programmes and interest groups. Let us know if you have a topic to suggest.
