The BBOP International Advisory Group comprises experts
from government departments, taxonomic, conservation, research
and academic organizations world-wide as well as from companies
in different sectors. These experts are drawn from disciplines
that underpin biodiversity offsets, including: conservation
methodologies and metrics; bioregional and landscape scale
planning; systematics and biodiversity measurement and monitoring;
risk, project and biodiversity management in business; and
environmental economics. Many have already assisted in designing
and implementing biodiversity offset projects and the associated
public policy.
The Advisory Group provides technical support to the pilot projects and is contributing to a Methodology Toolkit on best practice for biodiversity offsets.
